Introducing the Strong Match Machine

Very often, I get questions from clients like:

“How common is this strength?”

“Have you ever met anyone with this combination?”

Have you ever come across someone with a perfect match of your Top 5?”

The answer to most of those questions is… I don’t really know. Someone from Gallup shared the document below that showed the frequency of each talent as of 2018, and it’s a fascinating look!

The rest of those questions? They are great questions, but Gallup’s data is proprietary to them and I haven’t seen too many updates on this data other than some of the great info on Gallup’s website.

And as great as that data is, It doesn’t quench someone’s thirst to find that person who shares a Top 5 in common, if that person exists. And honestly, knowing that information isn’t going to be some groundbreaking discovery.

You might find someone who works similarly to you, but of course we are more than just our talents.

But for fun, I made this tool

Gallup does publish some information on the most and least common talents, or the most and least likely talent pairings. I have always found that fascinating.

So to help my clients and people I come across who have taken Clifton Strengths, below is a beta version of a new feature I’ve been playing with.

Since Gallup has shared that over 35 million people have taken the CliftonStrengths assessment and there is a 1 in 33 million chance of two people having the same Top 5 in the same order, perhaps there could be a way to find other people with your same Top 5?

I’ve only set this up to where you can enter your first name, last initial and where you are from.

It will output how many people in MY database:

  1. Share the same Top 5 in order
  2. Share the same Top 5
  3. Have 4 out of 5 in common
  4. Have 3 out of 5 in common

My database is small, we have to start somewhere. And you can always come back and check your status without adding an additional entry.

Also… you only will have the option of getting an email notification if we find that needle in a haystack person who shares your top 5 in order. Otherwise, I’d only ever email you if you opt in to receive updates on this tool.

I won’t ever try to sell you anything. Because that’s gross.

Will a match ever happen? There’s only one way to find out.
